How often should my child train?
This depends on their age, sporting commitments, training history and goals. We believe in quality and consistency rather than simply doing more, and we’ll recommend an appropriate training frequency for each athlete.
What happens at the first session?
The first session gives us an opportunity to understand the young athlete, their sporting background, goals and training experience. We can then assess fundamental movement and physical qualities and determine the most appropriate starting point.
How is ELIV Fitness different from a normal gym or personal trainer?
ELIV Fitness is specifically focused on young athletes and long-term athletic development. The aim isn’t bodybuilding or simply making children tired. Sessions are designed to develop movement, strength, coordination, fitness, confidence, discipline and resilience.
Where does Eliv run from?
You must have a Gym Membership at K2 Gym. Alternatively where possible and depending on Equipment, timing and Locations or other fitness facilities we would be happy to use those. We are in the process of developing our partnership with a top of the range private Facility and we will update in due course.
What should my child bring to a session?
Comfortable sports clothing, suitable trainers and a drink. Any additional requirements will be explained before the first session.
Will you work with my child’s existing sports coach or club?
Where appropriate, yes. Strength and conditioning should complement an athlete’s sport rather than compete with it. Understanding their existing training schedule can help ensure their ELIV programme supports their overall development.
Do you offer small-group training?
Yes. Small-group sessions provide the benefits of structured coaching alongside the motivation, enjoyment and social environment of training with other young athletes.
Do you offer one-to-one coaching?
Yes. One-to-one coaching allows sessions to be tailored specifically to the young athlete’s goals, sporting demands, strengths and areas for development.
