MEET OUR COACHES

Nic Chaviaris,
Founder & Head coach

Nic founded ELIV Fitness with one clear purpose: to help young athletes become stronger, fitter, more confident and more resilient in sport and in everyday life.

Having coached over 100 young athletes across different ages, abilities and sports, Nic has developed a deep understanding of how young people need to train. His approach isn’t about treating children like smaller adults. It’s about age-appropriate, progressive training that builds strong foundations while keeping young athletes engaged and genuinely enjoying the process.

As a former National Swimming Champion, current GB Masters Basketball international, HYROX podium finisher and two-time ATHX Finalist, Nic knows first-hand what it takes to perform at a high level across multiple disciplines. He brings that experience directly into his coaching, not to talk about his own achievements, but to help the next generation of athletes build theirs.

Alongside sport, Nic is also a successful business owner. The parallels he has drawn between elite performance and business success – consistency, high standards, accountability, learning from setbacks – have shaped the way he coaches and the values ELIV is built on.

Nic holds a Level 4 Strength & Conditioning qualification, Level 2 Basketball England Coach award and an Assistant Swimming Teacher qualification, with further academic study in Sports Science at Coventry University. He holds a current Enhanced DBS and has completed Safeguarding training. As a father of two daughters, he understands the importance of creating an environment where every young person feels safe, valued and supported while still being challenged to reach their potential.

MEET OUR COACHES

Cheryl Chaviaris,
Coach & Operations Lead

Cheryl is an integral part of the ELIV team, bringing her own competitive sporting background and hands-on experience working with children, teenagers and young adults.

As she works towards her formal coaching qualifications, she supports sessions on the floor alongside Nic and leads the day-to-day operations behind the scenes. From managing bookings to ensuring every athlete and parent has a smooth, positive experience from first contact onwards.

What We Stand For

Movement education, not just exercise.

Young athletes are taught how to move, train and understand their body, building knowledge and habits that last far longer than any single session.

Age-appropriate from the ground up.

ELIV programmes are designed specifically for young people aged 12–18. Not adapted from adult training. Not one-size-fits-all. Built around the individual athlete’s age, development stage, sport and goals.

Safe, professional and supportive.

Every aspect of ELIV, from the coaches to the environment to the way sessions are structured, is designed to make young people feel safe, supported and confident to push their limits.

Long-term development over quick results.

We are not interested in short-term fixes. ELIV focuses on building the physical and mental foundations that allow young athletes to keep improving, year after year.

Sport psychology
matters.

Mental performance is woven into everything we do. Confidence, discipline, resilience and a positive attitude to challenges are coached just as deliberately as strength and movement.

OUR MISSION

THE ELIVE STANDARD

ELIV Fitness exists because we believe every young athlete, regardless of their sport, ability or starting point, deserves coaching that actually understands them.

Not a watered-down adult session. Not a generic fitness class. Real coaching, built for young people, delivered by coaches who know what long-term athletic development looks like and care about the person behind the athlete.

Build the athlete. Develop the person.
